Hello I'm going to show you how you can convert an excel file to PDF the first thing you need is the program that actually does the conversion so beside the fact that you have Excel installed you also need another program that's called the PDF creator and the good part is that is free and it takes only a minute to install it so the first thing you need to do is find that program on this website you can see a small tutorial and there's a link to PDF creator you have to download it it's open-source and once it's downloaded you install it and you are able to convert it I'm going to stop this because I already have it installed after you install PDF creator if you go in Start and printers and faxes it should show up in here so this means it was correctly installed the next next thing to do is to open the excel file you want to convert which I have opened here and you have to think if you want to convert only the existing active sheet into one PDF file or you want to convert the entire workbook for instance I have five sheets in here so I'm going to convert all of them so the entire workbook and in order to do that there's a small thing to change first if you don't if you have different printing quality settings for each sheet then Excel will ask you to save a separate PDF file for each of them I don't want that because on the entire workbook to be a single PDF file so I'm going to make sure that all of them have the same printing quality and I'll do that by clicking on the first one the first tab then holding shift and then clicking on the last one you can see now that they all are selected and then I'll go to page layout and page setup you can see here the only thing you have to change the print quality we want to set it to 300 dpi because that's more than enough I'm going to click OK it applied the all the settings and now the only thing left to do is to hit print and select from the drop-down list the printer driver that you've just installed which is PDF creator I'm going to click OK now I have a lot of pages but it's still going to work fast and PDF Creator will ask me how I want to name the document author subject keywords I am just going to leave this as default and I'm going to leave this option enabled to open the PDF after it's created and you only have to click Save and select a location and the conversion is now working now that it finished the PDF was opened as you can see there are over 2,000 pages but it still handled it very well
